ART’S MISSING PERIOD
While art museums have celebrated the blood of war, violence, and death for centuries, menstrual blood has been systematically censored and erased from history. The Art's Missing Period campaign aims to rewrite this narrative by uncovering and celebrating menstrual art dating from 35,000 BCE to the present day. By reclaiming these silenced works, the initiative reframes menstruation from a social taboo into a vital cultural chapter, partnering with museums and classrooms worldwide to permanently restore this missing history to the artistic canon.
