SATSUKI [Documentary Series]
On a random weekend in NYC food hunt, there was a discreet Japanese sign imprinted on a glass window on 47th st. One thing to know about great sushi restaurants: they don’t have big neon signs. After trying the Omakase, 3 creatives started documenting the journey of a true Japanese shokunin (mastery of one’s profession). A year after the film was shot, the restaurant received its first Michelin Star.
Music: The score will tie together classical western elements including instruments such as cello, violin, piano, orchestral strings and woodwinds, as well as traditional Japanese instruments such as the Koto, Shamisen and Shakuhachi; the three prominent instruments used during the Edo period when Edomae-sushi first stem its roots.
Full film coming soon.
